Mr. Nicholson

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1) how many jobs the Industrial Development Board created in each of the last three years in the Armagh area;

(2) how many jobs the Industrial Development Board created in each of the last three years in the Newry area;

(3) how many jobs the Industrial Development Board created in the Newry and Armagh constituency in each of the last three years.

Mr. Butler

Prior to the industrial development board being set up on 1 September 1982, its functions were carried out by the Department of Commerce.

The information in respect of jobs promoted is as follows:
