HC Deb 03 April 1984 vol 57 c510W
17. Mr. Ray Powell

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science when he will meet the Secretary of State for Employment to discuss the representations they have received on the White Paper, "Training for Jobs".

Sir Keith Joseph

I meet my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Employment as often as necessary to discuss this and other matters of mutual concern connected with the White Paper, "Training for Jobs".

28. Mr. Sean Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what recent representations he has received on the White Paper, "Training for Jobs".

Sir Keith Joseph

I refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave on 20 March, at columns 439–440, to the question from my hon. Friend the Member for Eastleigh (Sir D. Price).

30. Mr. Pike

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether there have been any positive responses from educational institutions about the White Paper, "Training for Jobs".

Sir Keith Joseph

All the letters which I have received from colleges of further education are critical of the new funding arrangements for non-advanced further education.

36. Mr. Campbell-Savours

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what plans he has for fostering consultations on the White Paper, "Training for Jobs".

Sir Keith Joseph

I have asked representatives of the local authority associations and the further education teacher organisations to participate in discussions about the implementation of the White Paper and I shall continue to see that there are opportunities for them to do so for as long as is practicable.
