§ Mr. Carter-Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Social Services, pursuant to the answer of 30 November, Official Report, column 537, on the subject of consultation with health authorities about provision of adequate levels of care for patients with kidney disease and the involvement of specialists in renal medicine and nurses in the consultation, if he is yet able to say whether appropriate discussions have taken place in each health authority; what the outcome of these consultations have been; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. John PattenWe have asked regional health authorities to submit proposed targets for developing renal failure services by the end of May. The form of local consultation about these targets is for authorities to decide.
