§ Mr. John Smithasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list in the Official Report the organisations which are considered to be trade unions covered by the Trade Union Bill.
§ Mr. GummerThe term "trade union" as used in the Trade Union Bill has the same meaning as it has in section 28 of the Trade Union and Labour Relations Act 1974. Any organisation which falls within that definition will therefore be affected by the Bill's provisions, except where the Bill makes specific provision to the contrary.
