§ Mr. Norman LamontThe tourism guidelines, which were issued to the four boards in 1974, an now out of date. With the agreement of my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for Scotland and Wales, the 1974 guidelines are being withdrawn. Instead, the boards ae being asked to draw up their own policy guidelines for submission to their sponsoring Departments, within the broad objective of maximising the national economic benefit of tourism.
