§ Mr. Andersonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what consideration he is giving to the request of the Secretary General of the United Nations to member states to contribute towards a project in Denmark for the care and rehabilitation of victims of torture.
§ Mr. WhitneyThe request of the United Nations Secretary General was for contributions to the United Nations voluntary fund for victims of torture. The fund has supported the work of a special unit for treatment of torture victims attached to the University hospital, Copenhagen. I have nothing further to add to the answer I gave on 26 October to the hon. Member for Inverness, Nairn and Lochaber (Mr. Johnston).—[Vol. 47, c. 103.]
