§ 40. Mr. Beithasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what recent meetings he has had with representatives of county and district councils to discuss his proposals for local government finance.
§ Mr. WaldegraveI and my ministerial colleagues have had a large number of such meetings in recent weeks. We have also discussed our proposals for 1984–85 with the local authority associations at the consultative council on local government finance.
