The statistics collected centrally do not distinguish offences of driving a motor vehicle after taking drugs from those of driving after consuming alcohol. The latest available figures for prosecutions for driving a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol or taking drugs are given in Table 1 of "Supplementary tables: Offences relating to motor vehicles England and Wales", a copy of which is in the Library of the House.
