§ Sir George YoungThe consultation that forms part of the Department's review of the order made under schedule 24 to the Housing Act 1980 (SI 1981/1576), is still in progress. Consultees were asked to give their views by 28 October. Some have asked for additional time to respond. The review will be completed once we have fully considered the outcome of consultation.

§ Sir George YoungThe organisations who have so far submitted evidence as part of the review into a possible extension of the order SI 1981/1576 are: the Association of district councils; the Greater London council; the London boroughs association; the Campaign for Single Homeless People and the Houses in Multiple Occupation Group; the Housing Corporation; and the Institution of Environmental Health Officers. We have also received a representation from the right hon. Member.
