HC Deb 04 November 1983 vol 47 cc498-9W
Mr. Alton

asked the Secretary of State for Defence when the National Radiological Protection Board expects to report its findings into the effects of radiation on personnel involved in the atomic tests held in the South Pacific in the early 1950s; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Pattie

As I stated in the announcement I made on 3 October this year, the study by the National Radiological Protection Board will take two to three years to complete. It is expected that its findings will be published shortly after the study is completed.
