§ 34. Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will introduce amending legislation to strengthen section 28 of the Race Relations Act to close the loophole revealed by the industrial tribunal ruling on appeal by Percy Ingle Bakeries Ltd.
§ Mr. WaddingtonThe amendment of section 28 of the Race Relations Act 1976 is one of a number of proposals for amendents to the Act contained in the consultative document issued by the Commission for Racial Equality in July. When my right hon. and learned Friend receives the commission's final proposals these will be carefully considered.
