asked the Secretary of State for Defence what plans he has for the rebuilding of Victoria barracks, Windsor, for occupation by a regiment of the Household division; and when he expects the rebuilding to be completed and the regiment in residence.

We plan to start rebuilding Victoria barracks, Windsor, in the middle of 1985. Demolition of the existing barracks is due to start this year, and on present plans the rebuild should be completed in 1988. A regiment of the Household division is due to take up residence early in 1989.
