§ Sir David Priceasked the Secretary of State for Industry whether he will extend his Department's awareness schemes to include heat recovery technology.
§ Mr. Kenneth BakerGovernment assistance under the support for innovation arrangements for manufacturing firms using substantial amounts of energy and wishing to commission consultants to undertake design, specification and tender work in connection with a heat recovery project in their factory will be introduced on 1 June. The help will cover consultancy to a value of £3,000 plus half the cost of necessary additional work above that figure, subject to a maximum Government grant of £10,000 for consultancy on any one project. Notes for the guidance of applicants for this support will be published in due course.
