§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsIt is estimated that the numbers of unemployed 16 and 17-year-old school leavers eligible for entry into the youth training scheme in the Port Talbot, Bridgend and Maesteg areas will be 600, 850 and 230, respectively. The Manpower Services Commission is optimistic that enough places will be available to enable an offer of a place to be made to all those who wish to participate in the scheme in 1983–84.
