§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsAs measured by the Welsh index of industrial production— 1975 =100—manufacturing output in Wales in 1982 is estimated to have stood at 98. The corresponding figure for 1979 was 115.3.

§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithMy directorate of fisheries research is studying the effects of both synthetic monofilament and multifilament gill nets by comparative fishing experiments. The results of this research will be published in due course. I have no plans at present for any further research on this particular subject.
