§ 31. Sir Anthony Royleasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what action is taken to control or limit cruelty to animals in the kitchens and restaurants of Hong Kong.
§ Mr. RifkindThe Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Ordinance prohibits any form of cruelty to animals in general in Hong Kong. Restaurants, slaughterhouses, pet shops and other animal trading premises are regularly visited by Government officials to ensure among other things, that animals are not treated with cruelty.
