§ Sir Raymond Gowerasked the Secretary of State for Wales what is the average period being taken by housing authorities in Wales to complete the sales of dwellings to tenants who have applied to purchase them.
§ Mr. Wyn RobertsA number of local authorities are still clearing the surge of applications which immediately followed the Housing Act 1980, and no meaningful estimate of the average period is therfore possible. However, they have been asked to process new applications to completion within six months of the right to buy being admitted and most have indicated that they are now, or will shortly be, achieving that aim.
