§ The Solicitor-GeneralThe main project to introduce computer processing into the registration of title department continues to make progress and the major part of the index of proprietors' names is now held as a computer record. Trials on particular internal procedures are currently taking place at the Plymouth district land registry; the record of priority of applications—the day list—is held on a computer and a computer-based system for location control of casework has also recently been introduced. Experiments are taking place in creating computerised registers.
The computerised system introduced in the land charges department in 1974 continues to operate effectively.
