Member for Basildon of 14 February, Official Report, c. 37, when he expects the board of inquiry to report on the incident concerning eight medium dump trucks in Port Stanley harbour on 1 February 1983; when he expects to be in a position to estimate the final cost of the incident to public funds; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. WigginThe board of inquiry's proceedings have encountered some delays, and its conclusions are not now expected before the end of this month. Five out of the eight vehicles involved in the incident are now back in use. The probable loss to public funds is estimated to be in the region of £100,000.
