§ Mrs. ChalkerConcern has been expressed by local authorities, by organisations representing disabled people and by disabled people themselves. There has been general support for the steps we are taking to reduce this problem. The Disabled Persons (Badges for Motor Vehicles) Regulations 1982 (SI 1982 No. 1740) which come into force on 16 March should make abuse much less likely.
