§ Mr. David Atkinsonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether Her Majesty's Government support recommendation 964 on a European award for non-violence, adopted by the parliamentary assembly of the Council of Europe on 28 January.
§ Mr. RifkindWe share the assembly's concern at the present degree of violence in modern-day society, and are at present examining the terms of recommendation 964 with a view to its forthcoming consideration by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
