§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will set out in the Official Report in tabular form the various payments available by way of war widows' pensions, armed forces pensions, national insurance pensions, and, where applicable, the South Atlantic fund to the widows of all ranks killed in the first world war, the second world war, Northern Ireland after 1973 and the Falkland islands respectively.

Payments are made by the trustees only to those injured, and the dependants of those killed, in the Falklands campaign. An initial payment of £10,000 has been made to each widow, with additional help in individual cases of need. A further lump sum payment of between £30,000 and £50,000 per case is to be made shortly.
