HC Deb 04 March 1983 vol 38 c248W
Mr. Arnold

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many members of the Soviet trade delegation are accorded diplomatic privileges and immunities; and whether he has any plans to change the present arrangements.

Mr. Rifkind

In accordance with article 5 of the 1934 temporary commercial agreement between the United Kingdom and the Soviet Union, only the Soviet trade representative and his two deputies are accorded diplomatic privileges and immunities. I have no plans at present to change the arrangements set out in the agreement.
