asked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will list the current prices of petrol in the main capitals of the European Community and indicate the percentage of the retail price attributable to tax.

The following table sets out estimates of typical pump prices for premium grade petrol in six of the countries in the European Community—not necessarily capital cities—at 7 February 1983, using that day's exchange rates, together with an indication of the percentage of the price attributable to tax.
