§ Mr. MayhewMost organisations could contribute to civil defence planning. Central and local government and their agencies have statutory obligations, but we also attach importance to the work of volunteer groups including the voluntary aid organisations. There is already some participation by industy in present plans, and this is an area where we hope to see greater future involvement.
