§ Mr. Hirstasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has decided the amount of fee remission grant to allocate to schools participating in the assisted places scheme in respect of session 1983–84.
§ Mr. YoungerThe allocations of fee remission grant for 1983–84 are shown in the following table. Forty-two schools will participate, one less than in 1982–83 because of the recently announced amalgamation of two participating schools in Edinburgh — St. Margaret's school for girls, Newington and St. Hilary's — which will go under the name of the former.
