§ Mr. TrippierWe believe that the Government's general economic policies, which are designed to help create a favourable economic climate, will encourage increased activity by industries in the east midlands and elsewhere in the country. Sustained industrial recovery, however, is also dependent on firms' own efforts to improve their cost competitiveness and increase productivity.
