§ Mr. LawsonThe prospectus for the sale of shares in Britoil stated that it was the Government's intention that after the offer for sale its remaining holding of ordinary shares and the special share should be held by the Treasury Solicitor on behalf of the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury. These shares were formally transferred from the Secretary of State for Energy to the Treasury Solicitor on 27 May.
