§ Mr. MacGregorHome-grown new potatoes are normally available in quantity only during June, July and August, whereas new potatoes are imported into the United Kingdom from various sources throughout the year. Imports generally account for a little over 40 per cent. of all new potatoes consumed in the United Kingdom over the year as a whole.
