§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will list those advisory committees and other public bodies, for which he is responsible, which have a member appointed to them to represent disabled people or which have members who are themselves disabled, and, separately, those which do not; and if he will list the names of those so appointed to bodies in the first category.
§ Mr. Peter WalkerThe public bodies for which I am responsible are set out in "Public Bodies 1982" (HMSO). They comprise the NCB, BGC, UKAEA, BNOC, BNFL and the electricity supply industry in England and Wales, together with four advisory bodies (the Advisory Council on Research and Development for Fuel and Power, the Offshore Energy Technology Board, the Advisory Council on Energy Conservation, and the offshore industry liaison committee). None of these has a board member appointed specifically to represent disabled people, and my Department does not hold information on whether members of these bodies are disabled.
