§ Mr. Fallonasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will encourage the Commission of the European Communites to operate fully the provision of the directive on transparency of financial relations between member states and their public undertakings.
§ Mr. ButcherThe Commission is already operating the directive, and I am satisfied that it will continue to do so in cases where it considers the directive appropriate.
