§ Mr. HurdSome 17,312 special old persons' home television licences were in force in March 1981; 16,391 in 1982; and 17,536 in 1983. The approximate numbers of pensioners covered by them were 450,000, 480,000 and 520,000, respectively.
§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he intends to lay regulations introducing a concessionary television licence for disabled people in residential homes or sheltered housing; and if he will make a statement.
§ 49. Mr. James Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will now consider the phasing out of payment of television licences for senior citizens; and if he will make a statement.
