§ Ms. Richardsonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will take further steps to maintain the priority of planning services amongst area health authorities' preventive health measures.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeI assume that the hon. Member is referring to family planning services. The policies and priorities handbook "Care in Action", sent to chairmen and members of health authorities in 1981, emphasised the importance of family planning as an element in preventive health care. That remains the policy of the Government.
