The Prime Minister
The information requested in parts(a) and (c) of my hon. Friend's question could not be provided except at disproportionate cost. There are, for instance, about 1,200 salary scales in the non-industrial Civil Service. My noble Friend the Minister of State at the Privy Council Office and my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Services will do their best to provide my hon. Friend with such details as he requires if he writes to them specifying his requirements.
