§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsThe latest estimate, based on the1981 census returns, relates to December 1982 and gives a figure for male employees-in-employment in Wales, which excludes the self-employed, of 507,000. Employment census figures for previous years, based on a mid-June count, are 608,000, 630,000 and 677,000 for 1977, 1972 and 1967 respectively.
