§ Mr. Peter MorrisonAll minimum age school leavers who are unemployed will be guaranteed an early offer of a place on the youth training scheme. Seventeen-year-olds who become unemployed in their first year after leaving school will be able to participate, but the offer of a place cannot be guaranteed at this stage in their case. The Manpower Services Commission will be issuing guidance shortly on priorities for filling places among different groups of young people eligible to join the scheme.
