§ Mr. Parryasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make representations to the Turkish Government concerning the repression of human rights in Turkey.
§ Mr. HurdThe Government continue to make the Turkish authorities aware of our concern over alleged violations of human rights. The Turkish authorities claim that they are making genuine efforts to investigate allegations and, where these allegations are proven, to punish the culprits. We shall continue to watch developments closely.
