Lord Houghton of Sowerby

What is the evidence to support the estimate made by the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food on 19th November, 1982 (Commons Hansard, col. 551) that "about 90 per cent. of systems for raising veal do not use (such) crates".

Earl Ferrers

The estimate is based on information from various sources, including Ministry advisers.
