§ Q8. Mr. Strawasked the Prime Minister what has been the change in gross domestic product of the United Kingdom as measured by the average estimate of the factor cost, since May 1979; and what has been the average change in gross domestic product for the six other major Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development economies since the same date.
§ The Prime MinisterI gave the answer to the first part of this question to the hon. Member on 22 February. Between the first half of 1979 and the first half of 1982, the average increase in gross domestic product—at market prices—for the six other major OECD economies was 3 per cent.
