§ Mr. OnslowThe Government of India have indicated to us their opposition to the presence of military forces of non-littoral states in the Indian ocean and their support for Mauritius' claim to the Chagos Archipelago.
The Mauritian claim has not been the subject of a vote by the United Nations ad hoc committee on the Indian ocean.
