§ Mr. WigginA table giving an all-ranks military salary index for the years 1975 to 1981 is published in section 4 of the 1982 Statement of Defence Estimates, volume 2, a copy of which is in the House of Commons Library. The base level for this index at 1 April 1975 was £3,125 per annum, and the value of the 1982 index, to be published in the 1983 statement, is 236.1. The table also provides illustrative rates of pay by rank.
