Mr. Michael Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what recent surveys have been carried out on the nutritional content of school meals.

Dr. Boyson

None by this Department. The Department of Health and Social Security is currently conducting a survey of the dietary intake of school children.

Mr. Dobson

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he is yet able to publish the result of the school meals census carried out in September 1982.

The census was undertaken in October. The results will be available shortly.
