Mr. Iain Mills

asked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will seek to legislate to increase the percentage of the capital cost of equipment obtained to improve the productivity of industrial processes which is available under section 8 of the Industry Act 1972.

The level of assistance under section 8 is not limited by legislation.
