§ Mr. Murphyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he expects discussions on the draft regulations making full scale civil defence a statutory obligation upon local authorities to be completed so that he may lay regulations before Parliament.
§ Mr. MayhewI shall be meeting representatives of local government associations later this month at their request to discuss the proposed regulations, and thereafter my right hon. Friend will be considering the representations that have been made to him with a view to laying regulations before Easter.
