HC Deb 03 February 1983 vol 36 c150W
Q45. Mr. Wigley

asked the Prime Minister if she will review the impact of Government policy on rural areas.

The Prime Minister

No. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment takes the lead in assessing the effect of our policies on rural areas, consulting colleagues as necessary. In Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland the respective Secretaries of State fulfil a similar role.
