asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will estimate the number of jobs in the pipeline for each county in Wales.

The estimates are as follows:

Jobs in pipeline
Gwynedd 250
Clwyd 3,500
Powys 750
Dyfed 350
Mid-Glamorgan 2,100
West Glamorgan 1,000
South Glamorgan 950
Gwent 6,100

These relate only to manufacturing jobs which are expected over the next three to four years from projects for which offers of selective financial assistance have been accepted or which have been allocated Government financed factory space.
