§ Mr. ChannonUnited Kingdom firms have occasionally approached my Department about difficulties that they have experienced in the Irish Republic. Where appropriate we have supported these approaches by drawing them to the attention of the Irish authorities. The Udaras na Gaeltacht is an agency of the Irish Government and it is the responsibility of the Irish authorities to investigate any alleged complaints about it.
