§ Mr. BrittanIn the recent trial in Glasgow, which resulted in the conviction of the defendants of the sale of "glue-sniffing kits", the charge was based on the Scottish common law which is more extensive in this respect than the English equivalent. I am examining urgently the outcome of that case in the light of the Government's proposals for further action to combat solvent abuse announced today by my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Health and Social Security.
