asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will add the signal crayfish (Pacifasticus leniusculus) to Part I of Schedule 9 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

I am advised by the Nature Conservancy Council that the signal crayfish (Pacifasticus leniusculus) is not established in Great Britain in the wild and therefore its inclusion in Part I of Schedule 9 would not be appropriate
