asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether it is still expected that the United States satellite tracking station on the Turks and Caicos Islands will be closed by the end of 1984.

§ Mr. Whitney
As my hon. Friend the Member for Woking (Mr. Onslow) informed the House on 23 March —[Vol. 39, c. 433]—the United States tracking station in the Turks and Caicos islands is due to be closed not later than February 1984. The closure is proceeding as planned.
